Recycling Water for the Lawn

November 19, 2007

Taking care of a lawn by watering it often and giving it the nutrients that is needs from the water is an important step for proper grass growth. With the new move to have many things recycled taking place over the last decade plus, many people are now thinking of new, and innovate means of recycling water to make it last into the yard as well. There are several variations that water can be recycled for the treatment of lawns, all of which are beneficial.

One way to recycle water for a yard is to use a bucket in the shower to catch excess water. Many people will often turn on the shower, and wait for the water to get warm. The water that is not used for the shower effectively becomes wasted, and can instead be recycled. By placing a bucket under the bath spout for each and every shower, people will become amazed at how much water they waste when they bathe. The water that is saved can then be used to pour into the garden or on a flower bed once cooled. This can also cut back on the overall water bill that many people will experience.

Another way to recycle water is to wash a car on a lawn. By using chemicals that are organic when washing the car, this will not hurt the yard. All of the water that is used when washing the car can now be placed into the yard instead of on the street, recycling water effectively.
