Flowers to Make Your Garden Brighter
If you need a little pop of color in your garden, or you’re looking to completely re-do your yard, flowers are always the best way to make this happen. While they do require a little maintenance, they really add to your home’s curb appeal and they can also brighten your day.
In the event that you have never planted a flower garden before, you may want to go with a prepackaged garden assortments that are available at most nurseries. These packaged gardens usually include a wide variety of flowers that will compliment each other in color and size. Usually, you’ll get about 20 plants as well as a little guide on where they can be placed for the best effect. This is really the easiest way for new gardeners to give their green thumb a try.
If you want to try it on your own, look for flowers in your favorite colors or flowers that will compliment your house. For example, if your house is painted green, bright yellow and white flowers would look lovely planted around the front of the house. Try not to match the colors, but rather use colors that will coordinate well. However, if you have a favorite color that really doesn’t match your house’s color scheme, don’t be afraid to get them. You can put them away from the house or around a tree to add some extra color to your yard.
Flower gardens are very rewarding and if planted correctly, they can provide you with color throughout most of the growing season. Mix up your early bloomers with some fall flowers for the best effect. This gives you a long time to enjoy your flowers, even as it starts to get a little cold. You can also mix in some evergreen plants for a whole year’s worth of beauty.
